How it Works
We meet for one hour, three times a year, and each member brings a check for $100.
Every member can nominate local charities, organizations, non-profits whose names are put into a hat.
Three names are drawn at random at each meeting
A 100 Women Who Care member makes a 5-minute presentation based on nomination form about each cause followed by question and answer time
We all vote on which cause to support.
The top vote-getting charity then receives all the checks, made out to them on the spot!
On each of three nights during the year, 100 WWCGSV gives up to, or over, $10,000 to a local charity, non-profit, or worthy cause, right here in the Greater Snoqualmie Valley. It’s fast, simple, and amazingly effective.
Membership Obligations and Rights
Meetings are an hour or less and will be held three times a year.
Each member, or member team, commits to donating $100 per meeting ($300 annually).
Active members are eligible to nominate a charity. To be considered for selection, the nominations must be submitted before the meeting deadline or they will be considered for the following meeting.
At each meeting, members in attendance vote to select a charity. Only members who are current in their contributions are eligible to vote.
Members bring a blank check that is written out directly to the selected charity. If a member is unable to attend a meeting they may give their signed, blank check to another member to deliver on their behalf.
Members not attending the meeting are notified via email and should donate to the chosen charity on-line.
Members will receive tax receipts from the chosen charity.
